Let’s talk creativity.
Do you recall when you were a kid and you used to play and draw with abandon? When you were unconcerned with the final product of your art making, but rather enjoyed losing yourself in the process? Or, are you the sort of person who has high standards for yourself and you’ve never been able to let loose and feel creative?
It’s a common and familiar problem.
As we grow, our limiting beliefs and life struggles separate us from the joy of creating. And this leads to burnout and all sorts of unhappy feelings. You feel that way? Plenty of us do. Do you wish it were otherwise? Well, I have some good news for you.
It’s NEVER too late to get back in touch with that person you used to be… or always wished you were. And it’s not even that hard and it doesn’t really take that much time.
Creativity is a lifestyle, and it’s easy to put it aside and find ourselves tangled up in the business of everyday life. Cooking, cleaning, working, raising children and all the endless to do lists of life that have a way of fooling us into forgetting ourselves.
If you, like many of us, feel as though you gave up a part of yourself during adulthood …. You’re not alone. The good news is that creativity responds to nurturing and with a little help, you can find that creative person inside yourself. For real.
Let’s talk CLASSES.
Children have art class at school. They get it programmed seamlessly into their weekly routine. We adults aren’t usually so lucky, and we’re busy anyway and tired and cranky after work. Plus dinner has to be made and someone needs to start the laundry. This is exactly why I am offering you an online, go at your own pace but still have accountability, open 24 hours, suit yourself, range of courses tailored for busy, modern, overworked humans. I can get you out of your creative rut, teach you some simple, translatable, practical art skills, and help you take a deep dive into personal self expression. You have something to say, and using the visual language of art is a way to say it and explore it. Find yourself and who you are, and reawaken your creative muse… or finally meet her. I’ll introduce you.
So, let’s get started.
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up”
-Pablo Picasso
Hi, I’m Meagan
I've been teaching for almost 20 years and one of the themes I've noticed is that kids happily make art and live creatively. However, as people get older we let our limiting beliefs about our ability deter us from making art. Combine that with our busy schedules and most of use have forgotten the joy of art. I offer classes that help you overcome your perfectionism, teach your some simple skills to get started, and guide you into creative thinking and art making. So, what's holding you back?
