An online self paced course plus an online cohort with teacher support

Clear Vision- Abstract Watercolor is a course designed for you if you know that deep down you need to create but just aren’t sure how to get started. You just need some practical art skills, structure, encouragement, and accountability to help you take a deep dive into your creative inner landscape. You feel that? It’s your DNA begging you for self expression to fulfill your human potential. Here’s what you’ll get:

Video lessons to both spark your creativity and to gently guide your in acquiring skills, as well as resources, bonus materials, and a private facebook group for you to share ideas, learning, artwork, and get feedback from me and your peers, plus confidence, personal artwork, and fresh vision.

This is a self paced watercolor class, but also a course in creating a visual language through abstraction. You'll learn to paint and to think abstractly, allowing your self to play, doodle, and think. The skills you'll learn as you move through the project can be used indefinitely- watercolor is a great medium to learn.

If you are like me, you might feel the need to ask lots of questions! This is MORE THAN an online class. When you purchase this course, you'll be sent a link to join a private facebook group. That's where I'll be to answer questions and help you out. I'm a teacher, and teaching is more than just giving instructions. So, join the class!

Hi, I’m Meagan Lipke

I'm a certified art educator, who has been teaching for almost 20 years. I'm passionate about connecting people with their creative selves, tapping into our innate ability for self expression.

If you feel like your life is about being busy, about the day to day tedium of modern life, then join me as we add art and creativity to our lives. It's a great way to calm the nervous system, slow down, and be in the present.

Art can feel intimidating for those of us who don't feel particularly gifted. I'm created this curriculum over many years, used it with countless students, and am confident that you'll find it a gentle stepping off point for watercolor and abstraction. I created the course with a beginner in mind. If that's you, I hope you'll join me!

Personal meaning

We're taking a deep dive into the subconscious in this course. You'll be exploring your inner self and using those affirming words to generate shapes and designs.

You'll have an opportunity to play with meaning making, to doodle, and to sketch abstract shapes and designs. You'll give yourself permission to play. These images that emerge will form the basis of your artwork.

Watercolor

Watercolor paint is the perfect medium for busy folks. Not only is it simple to set up and clean up, the practice of floating the paint on the surface, of blending colors, and methodical mark making, allows you do enter a meditative state. It's good for the mind and body.

The flip side is that it has a learning curve! It's different than regular paint and has it's own set of rules to follow. I'll walk you through step by step so you learn the best techniques for using watercolor.

Cohort

This is more than an online class. Should you want a more traditional experience, I'm here for you. You'll be invited to my private Facebook group where you can post photos of your project as it progresses, get feedback, and ask questions. It will be a cohort, with other folks enrolled in this class. If that's not your thing, you can absolutely treat this as a stand alone online course! The Facebook group is optional.
